3 / 28 / 164 / 6 / 16

Hello everyone! I  hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. My weekend was really fun. I had a track meet on Friday, Saturday we went to a spring festival, and Sunday we visited family out of town. Now it’s Monday, and back to school for me :(. But thankfully, there are only 40 more school days left of the semester! Hopefully these last eight weeks of school will zoom by, because I’m more excited about summer than ever! On the subject of summer nearing, it also means shorts, swimsuits, and tank tops every single day. Now is the time everyone is really starting to work hard to get in shape and eat healthier, because the hottest season of all will be here before you know it! Read on to discover the first of my series on tips for a healthy lifestyle.

Movies Coming Out This Summer

3 / 7 / 16

This weekend, I was able to get (sorta) organized and prepared for the week ahead. Only five more days until my school gets out for Spring Break! After we get back from break, there are only 48 more school days until summer, and I am so ready to get out of school! Summer 2016 is full of great films coming out. If it ever gets too hot to be outside, take refuge in a movie theater, because there’s sure to be at least one good movie showing. From super hero movies to Harry Potter spinoffs to new Disney films, this summer will be filled to the brim with movies to watch.

Ten Things To Do This Summer

2 / 15 / 164 / 29 / 16

I am so excited for summer. I get really excited just by looking at pictures from the beach or thinking of my summer plans. I’m just ready to be out of school. There are so many things I love about summer. It’s hot, no school, tan skin, and there is so much stuff to do! This summer I already know that I am going to camp and probably the beach. My family always gets a membership to a local pool, so that will be fun too. Lately I’ve been thinking of more great things to do this summer and I can’t wait! I’m probably just torturing myself even more by writing this post, but I am just really looking forward to summer- only about three more months until freedom!

Valentine’s Day Gifts

2 / 9 / 164 / 29 / 16

Valentine’s day is always a fun holiday. It includes a lot of candy and a lot of pink stuff, but the candy is basically the best part of the whole day. What’s even better is that usually all of the candy goes on sale after Valentine’s Day, so be sure to get discounted candy February 15. Since Valentine’s Day is all about the red and pink colored things, I made a set of nine different pink and red gifts to give to a friend, family member, or loved one. Most of these are pretty well priced, too! Read on to discover some Valentine’s Day picks.

State Championship Soccer Game

2 / 8 / 164 / 29 / 16

Last Saturday my team played in the state championship for Class 5A soccer. And for the first time in school history, the Lady Chargers won! It was so exciting to see how happy everyone was. Although I didn’t play myself, I got so wrapped up in the game and was so focused on it. We won 2-1, so it was really close. We scored in the last five minutes to break the tie. It was so amazing to see the seniors that night. They had been trying to win a state championship since the seventh or eighth grade, and we finally did it. That night, everyone was so excited and I don’t think anything could have made that trip better.

Top Ten Quotes to Live By

2 / 6 / 163 / 8 / 16

I love finding inspiring quotes on Pinterest and thinking about them throughout the day. They motivate me and make me think about what I want to do and how I want to be. If you want, you can check out my other inspiration on my Pinterest board. But here are some of my all time favorites. I also love when they are made with a cute font or background that is pleasing to the eye. It makes a really neat background or wallpaper on a computer or phone, so you can read them throughout the day and be inspired.

The Pumped Up Playlist

2 / 4 / 163 / 8 / 16

I love listening to music. It’s great for bus rides on the way to sports trips. I like my playlist filled with songs that really get me pumped up and excited. These are loud, fast songs that get me ready and energized for the game. I like getting on the bus and curling up with my blanket and earbuds for the way there. And usually, in the locker room and during the warmup, there is always music to get the team pumped up. Here are my favorite pump up songs on my playlist!

Book Recommendation: Wonder

2 / 3 / 163 / 8 / 16

I love reading, and over the past weekend I had some time to do just that. I started and finished the book Wonder, and I absolutely loved it! It was so good, and I would definitely call it a favorite. It’s very moving and inspiring and it changes the way you look at people. The boy in the book has a very severe facial disorder, so he gets judged a lot. In the inside, he is a regular 10 year old boy, but no one bothers to get to know him. Eventually, he makes friends and people learn how he really is. The author inspires the readers to “Choose Kind” and be nice to everyone. I would definitely recommend this book, it’s a great read!

February Bucket List

2 / 1 / 162 / 4 / 16

I have my new bucket list ready for the new month! I got most of my things done last month, but there were a couple I failed to complete. Hopefully I can do better this month and maybe even complete my whole list! Last month, I made my bucket list halfway into January, so I didn’t have enough time to do everything. I’m going to try my best to complete everything this month, although some I might not can get to doing, I’ll see!

Looking back + Resolutions

1 / 1 / 163 / 8 / 16

Happy New Year Everyone! Looking back at 2015, I would say that overall it was a great year. I got to do some amazing things and take in some great experiences. My track team did well and got first in every meet, my soccer team won State and went to regionals, I went rock climbing, I got a new best time in cross country, and I went to the beach twice! 2015 was a year of new beginnings. I started this blog back in September, and I’m so glad I did. I also started high school, which so far has been fine! My soccer team got a new coach, who is so much better that our last one. I also became so much closer with some of my friends, and made some new ones as well! I can only hope that 2016 is as good a year or better. I want to start the year off with some resolutions to try and stick to. I know they might end up falling through the cracks halfway or even a quarter of the way through the year, but it’s definitely worth a try!

Christmas Thank You Letters

12 / 29 / 153 / 8 / 16

Hello everyone! Sorry there weren’t any posts for a couple of days. I took a little break around Christmas. My Christmas was fantastic! I loved spending time with family and celebrating Jesus’s birth with them. I received some great gifts this year, and I am so thankful for the presents and the people who gave them to me! I wanted to show my thanks by writing them a thank you letter telling them how grateful I am. I loved my stationary and decorating the letters with my new art supplies!

Christmas Eve

12 / 24 / 151 / 1 / 16

Wow. It’s Christmas Eve. One day before Christmas 2015. Time sure has flown by! I can still clearly remember everything that happened last year. It definitely doesn’t seem like 365 days have gone by since then! Christmas is the best time of year. Sure, there are some great presents. But it’s also is about family, giving, and most importantly, Jesus.

It’s hard to remember the real reason behind Christmas sometimes. We just get so wrapped up in making our Christmas list, decorating the house, traveling all over, and doing regular Christmas things. Those things are totally fine! But really, the only reason we can do any of those things is because of Jesus. He came into this world of pain, sorrow, and hardships, just to save me and you.
