My Favorite Easy Breakfasts

11 / 15 / 1811 / 14 / 18

Last year, I ate the same two or three breakfasts every day the whole year. Maybe a few times I would have leftover pancakes or banana bread from the day before, but I think I cycled through cereal, a nature valley granola bar, or peanut butter toast all school year. This year I’ve been switching it up and eating some new, healthy breakfasts that are also super quick to make. I’m always pushing it until the very last minute to get in the car to head to school, so these are perfect for on the go mornings!

October Goals + Plans

10 / 17 / 1810 / 17 / 18

How are we already halfway through October? Time is literally zooming by. I can clearly remember October 1st like it was a few days ago, not two weeks ago! In August and September, I was so excited for fall, even though it was way too early. Now that it’s finally actually autumn and the weather is changing, I feel like I lost my fall spirit. I’ve barely done anything “fall-y”. I’ve gone to the pumpkin patch, made a few fall recipes, and gotten a candle, but it’s not enough. I’m determined to spend the next two weeks doing as many spooky and fall related things as possible before November hits. I know it’ll technically still be “fall” in November, but by that time I’m in full Christmas mode :).

August Goals

8 / 5 / 189 / 9 / 18

Wow, it’s been forever since my last post. I know I say it a lot, but I really want to start posting more. I feel like I always used to post only outfit and style posts that never really turned out how I wanted them to. Now, I want to use this blog as a way to update on my life, my interests, and my thoughts. I’ll still keep some of the same styles of posts, like weekly roundups and music playlists, but I want to be more personal and be proud of the content I’m putting out. That being said, today I’m sharing my goals for the month of August. I’m excited about the new month and new experiences!

What’s On My Bedside Table

9 / 6 / 179 / 11 / 17

I’ve really been into decor and organization lately, and I love touching up my room and switching things around a little. Something I always like to redo from time to time is my bedside table! I was cleaning my room the other day and decided to sit down and really work on my table, and I love how it looks now! I keep my most used books on the top shelf, and then my pens, little trays, and notebooks/other books on the bottom shelf. Today I’m sharing  some of my favorite items on my bedside table, keep reading for more details!

July Favorites

8 / 16 / 178 / 17 / 17

How crazy is it that July is over and we’re halfway through August? I remember July 1st like it was just a week ago, not over a month ago! I can’t get over how fast time has gone by. Now I’ve started school and have been trying to get back into the swing of things. July was a fun, productive month for me, and I got to try out some new products that I’ve really enjoyed. I tried out an array of skincare products that worked for me, found some new music (does anyone else love Imagine Dragon’s new album as much as me?), and read a ton of good books!

My Honduras Mission Trip Experience

7 / 30 / 178 / 2 / 17

This summer, I was able to take the most incredible trip of my life- a mission trip to El Ocote, Honduras. At first I didn’t think I would be able to go, because the trip was pretty expensive and I had other stuff going on this summer. I prayed a lot about it and talked to my parents, and we were able to make it work! I sent out fundraising letters in May, and the response was overwhelming. I was so blessed to be able to raise all my money and have such amazing people to sponsor my trip! Over the next few months, I got my passport, went shopping at Goodwill for scrubs, stocked up on snacks, and did some extremely last minute packing. Finally at three in the morning on July 6, we drove to the airport and were on our way to an amazing week!

Blog Reboot + Redesign!

7 / 28 / 177 / 28 / 17

Wow, it’s been a long time since my last post. I can’t believe I haven’t blogged since March! I stopped blogging because it felt like more of a chore or a checklist item than something I actually enjoyed anymore. I always felt like I had to post this or was supposed to post that. I also got really busy towards the end of the school year and slacked off on blogging because of that as well. But there’s no excuses besides the fact that I just wasn’t into it as much back then. But after taking such a long break, I realized how much I missed it and how I wasn’t ready to stop blogging and give it up just yet.

The Best Pancake Recipe EVER

3 / 15 / 177 / 29 / 17

Recently, it’s been a Saturday tradition for me to make pancakes for the rest of the family. I used to be absolutely horrible at making them. I would seriously burn then every single time and I feel so bad for my family because they had to eat them haha. But ever since I found this recipe, my pancake making skills have improved IMMENSELY. Just this past weekend I made my best batch yet. I don’t know what it is about this particular recipe but they are seriously sooo good and really easy to make!

DIY: How to Make Printed Whales

2 / 7 / 17

Hello everyone! This is my first how to/DIY post in a while- if at all- and I’m really excited to show you how to make some super cute printed whales! Back in eighth grade, my computer class was taught how to use a website called Pixlr, where you can edit and tweak photos and do some super cool things to them! I learned so many tricks to that website, and use it all the time! The other day, I was trying to figure out a design for our class t-shirts for my school. I had an idea in mind but wanted to see how it would look on the computer instead of a rough sketch. I played around on Pixlr until I finally created what I had in mind for the t-shirts, and then I started thinking. It would be super cute to take the Vineyard Vines whale logo and add fun prints to it! I’ve seen the printed whales everywhere but never knew how to create them. Read on for instructions on how to create your own printed whales!

The Simplest Hair Tutorial EVER

1 / 9 / 171 / 7 / 17

Have you noticed that in almost all of my outfit  photos I have the same hairstyle? If my hair isn’t in braids or a ponytail, it’s most likely in the same exact style every single day. It’s super quick and you can do it with just a ponytail holder and a brush if needed. The braid in it is super cute and even though it’s so effortless, it looks so good! Read on for instructions on how to create this braided crossover look!

Recipes on My To-Try List

1 / 7 / 17

Whenever I see a delicious looking meal on Pinterest, it always looks like it’s so easy to make and there are just a few simple ingredients. But I know I would never be able to make it look or taste like the given recipe does. I love cooking and baking, but all my creations seem to be a little misshapen. Recently, I’ve been finding a ton of recipes that look fairly easy and quick. These are definitely on my to-try list for down the road. They all look so good!

My Christmas Wishlist

12 / 8 / 1612 / 8 / 16

Hello everyone and happy Thursday! I’m so happy that we are over halfway through the week. I only have 6 more school days until I’m out for two weeks of break! I absolutely cannot wait for Christmas and all the festivities that come with it. Since I’m so busy with school, I feel like I haven’t completely gotten into the Christmas spirit as much as I have in years past. I think after I get off of school and I’m not so stressed, I’ll definitely get more in the mood. For today’s post I’m collaborating with Faith from A Pocketful of Prep to bring you my Christmas Wishlist! I did one of these last year, so I’m continuing the tradition! I definitely am not expecting all of these things at all, but these are just a few things I would be so happy to receive! Check it out down below, then pop on over to Faith’s blog to see her wishlist!

Holiday Gift Guide: Jetsetter Edition

11 / 29 / 1611 / 29 / 16

Thanksgiving has officially passed, which means Christmas season is in full swing! I couldn’t be happier, Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year, it makes me so happy just thinking about all of the fun and joy that goes along with the holiday. We decorated our house for Christmas last Saturday, and looking at the tree every morning instantly brightens my mood. One of the main things I struggle with at Christmas is trying to figure out which friend/relative would want what gift. My siblings, I’m pretty good at finding them a gift they love, but other times, I have no idea what some people like! It’s always a struggle finding the perfect present for everyone, but today’s post is the first of many holiday gift guides! I hope to make many more in the weeks leading up to Christmas, but today’s theme is for the jetsetter, the person in your life who loves to travel! Enjoy!
