Productive Things to do in Winter Break

12 / 30 / 1612 / 30 / 16

I know during winter break, there’s finally time to sleep as late as you want, lay in bed all day, and watch as much Netflix as you want, and that’s not bad! But the break is also a time that you can use to catch up on some chores, try new things, and get active. It can be really hard to be productive during break, especially after sitting around for so  long. This was me just a few days ago! I’ve been so lazy all break until I finally decided to start getting stuff done! I already feel so much better and more on top of everything. Today’s post includes tips for finding motivation and fun/productive things you can do during the last few days of freedom, enjoy!

Monday Motivation

9 / 19 / 169 / 19 / 16

Hello and happy Monday! It seemed like the weekend zoomed by. I had a cross country meet on Saturday and Sunday was filled with church, youth, and getting ready for the busy week ahead. My youth group played paintball last night and that was my first time to ever play. It was so much fun and we played in a few different obstacle courses so it was different each time! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite quotes that I’ve found recently as some Monday motivation. Although I’m definitely not a huge fan of Mondays, if you have a positive attitude about them, it can lead you into a very happy week!

This past month of August, I’ve been listening to lots of fun music throughout the week. I’ve started to see there’s always these same few songs that I listen to over and over again. It’s so fun to play music while you’re in the shower, getting ready, or even while doing homework. For me, it makes the homework go faster and I’m more energized to get it done. Here is a compiled list of all the songs I’ve listened to this August, hope you enjoy!

Snail Mail

4 / 13 / 164 / 29 / 16

Hello everyone! Today is a boring day filled with school, tests, and lots of homework. But there are only 28 more days left of school, so that’s definitely a plus. Something that has been a really fun topic for me lately is snail mail. I think it’s so neat to be pen pals with someone and get to know them the old fashioned way. It seems like everyone only calls, emails, or texts these days, and letters are forgotten. But there are so many cute stationary options out there and so many cute things you could do to make your letters beautiful! And just think about how great it would be to open your mailbox and find a bright, colorful letter waiting for you. Read on to discover more about being a pen pal.

Today’s post is about having a healthy night routine. Sometimes my nights can get so busy and stressful if they are filled with homework and practices and preparing for the next day. It can get to be ten or eleven o’clock before I even go to sleep, and then the next morning I wake up tired and groggy. Recently I’ve (kinda) been able to manage my work and get all of my homework done before it gets too late, so I can relax the rest of the night. Here are a few tips and tricks you can try to have a better night routine.

How to Get to Sleep Faster

2 / 14 / 164 / 29 / 16

Hello and happy Valentine’s Day! Hope everyone had a great day. Today’s post is about a super effective way to get to sleep faster. I’ve always had trouble getting to sleep sometimes if I’m super busy at school or have a lot going on. I found this method from Pinterest and it works wonders! I use it whenever I need to get to sleep and it hasn’t failed to get me to sleep yet! It even works if you just are in the middle of a stressful day and need to calm down and empty your mind. I even did this at school right before I had a presentation and it helped get rid of my nerves. This method is the best!

I love listening to music. It’s great for bus rides on the way to sports trips. I like my playlist filled with songs that really get me pumped up and excited. These are loud, fast songs that get me ready and energized for the game. I like getting on the bus and curling up with my blanket and earbuds for the way there. And usually, in the locker room and during the warmup, there is always music to get the team pumped up. Here are my favorite pump up songs on my playlist!
