Woah- fall is actually here, (where did the time go?) and while I’m definitely glad for the new season and holidays to kick off, it’s a little sad to think that summer has completely come to a close. And I don’t just mean no school or fun beach trips, but summer style is now evolving into the fall colors. In my last outfit post, I mentioned having to put away some of my summer stripes and moving to the fall wardrobe. Fall style to me consists of lighter, more neutral colors instead of the summer brights. I know I’ve been absent some this week, but I hope to be on a regular posting schedule soon. This was the last week before the end of the quarter at my school, and I had a test every single day! Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA this week, I’ve been super busy with school and sports recently. Today I’m leaving at 12 to head to Alabama for my first away cross country meet, and I’m super excited! It’s a really fun race and the course is great, people usually get PRs there, which is what I’m aiming to do. After the race, we’ll come home and I’ll get right back to studying, studying, studying because I have a test next Monday! The schoolwork never ends- read on for my favorite links of the week!

Sayonara, Summer Stripes

Fall is really starting to kick in, and soon we’ll have to put the summer clothes away and move into a fall wardrobe with sweaters, boots, and scarves. I’m definitely excited that fall is here, but I’m so sad that summer had come to a close. I’ve been slowly transitioning into fall outfits, but I’m not ready to give up on all my summer clothes just yet. This morning, I stepped outside and was shocked at how cold it had gotten. Just yesterday, it was blazing hot, and this morning I had to take a pullover to school because it was so cold! This shirt was one of my favorite summer pieces, but sadly, it’s almost time to pack it away. I wore my final summer stripes outfit with an adorable necklace and my favorite kicks!

Cue the confetti! Today is a very special day because it’s my one year blogging anniversary! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year, time has just zoomed past. What I Got in My Rocksbox

Have you guys ever heard of Rocksbox? It’s a jewelry subscription service where you fill out a style survey, pick out some jewelry from the website into your Wishlist, and then get assigned a stylist that will create a box filled with three different types of cute jewelry! I tried it for the first time this past month and was really happy with what my stylist picked out! My jewelry was a mix of different styles: one I really hoped to get and I absolutely loved, one piece was something I had seen on others before but never worn before, and one piece was something I would have never picked out for myself but I thought was really unique!

Monday Motivation

Hello and happy Monday! It seemed like the weekend zoomed by. I had a cross country meet on Saturday and Sunday was filled with church, youth, and getting ready for the busy week ahead. My youth group played paintball last night and that was my first time to ever play. It was so much fun and we played in a few different obstacle courses so it was different each time! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite quotes that I’ve found recently as some Monday motivation. Although I’m definitely not a huge fan of Mondays, if you have a positive attitude about them, it can lead you into a very happy week!

Hey guys! I’m really sorry there weren’t any posts last week. I know I keep saying school is busy, but it seems to just keep getting busier and busier! I had so many things going on that I had no time to blog or shoot any pictures. This Friday, I wore a super cute outfit to school featuring some of the cutest little jewelry pieces from Bead.It Jewelry! They sell such cute items and I love wearing them because they add small details and pops of color to any outfit I wear! I think there’s only been one day of the week I haven’t worn this necklace, and I worn this bracelet and this bracelet every single day, I haven’t taken it off all week! Hello everyone! Who’s excited for the weekend? I definitely am, I don’t have any meets or games this weekend and I can relax and catch up on some other things I need to get done. This week seemed like it went by super fast since we got Labor Day off. If only every week could go by this quick! I’ve been doing a lot of training for cross country since the season has finally begun and we are getting into the routine of practices and meets and recovery. I actually had to take an ice bath the other day to help heal my shins, and it was SO COLD! As I said before, I’m so glad for the weekend, so let’s just get started with my favorite links!

This past month of August, I’ve been listening to lots of fun music throughout the week. I’ve started to see there’s always these same few songs that I listen to over and over again. Anytime I would listen to music, I would gravitate to this group of songs. These are fun, uplifting songs that brighten any day and get you pumped up for the task ahead! It’s so fun to play music while you’re in the shower, getting ready, or even while doing homework. For me, it makes the homework go faster and I’m more energized to get it done. The Friday Five

Wow, it’s been another crazy week. It seems as if I just get busier and busier! This week I’ve had so many tests and quizzes and I’m really happy it’s finally Friday! This weekend, I have my first cross country meet of the season! It’s in Memphis, TN, and it’s a night meet. We run at about 8 pm, so thankfully it won’t be so hot out by that time. I’m super nervous but also really excited! I was in a boot all summer so I wasn’t able to run much, so I’ve been just getting back into training. I’m glad I can start running again! The Benefits of Lemon Water

Hello everyone! Today’s post is about one of my new finds: lemon water. Of course I’ve heard of it before, but I never really drank it until just recently. I really want to make a habit of drinking it every morning to start my day. I’ve heard that it’s really beneficial and has so many rejuvenating qualities! One of my main things I want to start doing is having a cup of lemon water by my bed or in my bathroom. That way, when I wake up in the morning, I can go ahead and start my day with a fresh cup of it! I also have found some fun ways to drink it throughout the day, even when I’m at school and am not at the place I can go cut up a lemon ;). Keep reading for more tips!

Classic Preppy Look

Every year at my school, we have a “Preppy Day” where, on the Friday of a big home football game, we all dress up really preppy and wear classic outfits or uniforms. Other than that one day a year, my school isn’t preppy at all. After that day, I never wear anything like that the rest of the year. This week, when I was trying to think of what to wear, I realized I had basically nothing because I never dress that way! Thankfully, I was able to borrow a few things and my outfit turned out pretty good! Although I would never wear this otherwise, it was fun to dress up in a classic preppy outfit for a day! Wow, it sure has been awhile since my last Friday Five! Towards the end of spring I was busy with exam prep and lots of studying, over the summer I didn’t have my computer so posts didn’t go up as regularly, and my first two weeks of school have been so hectic and busy! Excuses aside, I’m here with a long awaited Friday Fives post for the first time in forever. This week has been another crazy week. Going back into school, I was expecting to start off slow and not be too busy. I was so wrong! I had three tests and two quizzes and homework every night- and that was just for the first week! Now that I’ve sort of developed a routine and a feel for how things are going to go this year, I’ve been able to settle down and start blogging again.
