Linen Shorts + Harvard Tee

Every since I got this Harvard shirt in Boston back in April, it has been such a go to shirt. I wear it all the time, either tying it up like I did here, tucking it halfway into pants, or letting it hang long with a pair of Nike shorts. It’s so comfy and today I paired it with my favorite pair of shorts, this breezy linen pair from Old Navy. I’ve worn them all summer, they’re perfect to throw on for a quick and cute outfit. I recently bought my first pair of slip on Vans and I love them! They add such a cute touch to any outfit. As for jewelry, most of my bracelets and both of my necklaces I made myself, but everything else I’m wearing I linked below!

My Honduras Mission Trip Experience

This summer, I was able to take the most incredible trip of my life- a mission trip to El Ocote, Honduras. At first I didn’t think I would be able to go, because the trip was pretty expensive and I had other stuff going on this summer. I prayed a lot about it and talked to my parents, and we were able to make it work! I sent out fundraising letters in May, and the response was overwhelming. I was so blessed to be able to raise all my money and have such amazing people to sponsor my trip! Over the next few months, I got my passport, went shopping at Goodwill for scrubs, stocked up on snacks, and did some extremely last minute packing. Finally at three in the morning on July 6, we drove to the airport and were on our way to an amazing week!

Blog Reboot + Redesign!

Wow, it’s been a long time since my last post. I can’t believe I haven’t blogged since March! I stopped blogging because it felt like more of a chore or a checklist item than something I actually enjoyed anymore. I always felt like I had to post this or was supposed to post that. I also got really busy towards the end of the school year and slacked off on blogging because of that as well. But there’s no excuses besides the fact that I just wasn’t into it as much back then. But after taking such a long break, I realized how much I missed it and how I wasn’t ready to stop blogging and give it up just yet.

Steal Her Style: Relaxed Neutral Outfit

I’ve never done a “Steal Her Style” post before, but this was actually really fun to put together and I’m planning to do more in the future. As I’ve said probably many times before, I love Pinterest and all the different fashion inspiration I get from it. (Be sure to check out my style board!) I love getting lots of different ideas and inspiration for outfits, but sometimes it’s hard to figure out the sources of all the different clothing items. And even if I’m able to find some links, the clothes are usually super expensive. In the post today, I tried to keep the prices low, although the only jeans I could find that were closest to my inspo were a little pricey. Other than that, I think this is a super cute outfit that I would love to recreate myself!

The Best Pancake Recipe EVER

Recently, it’s been a Saturday tradition for me to make pancakes for the rest of the family. I used to be absolutely horrible at making them. I would seriously burn then every single time and I feel so bad for my family because they had to eat them haha. But ever since I found this recipe, my pancake making skills have improved IMMENSELY. Just this past weekend I made my best batch yet. I don’t know what it is about this particular recipe but they are seriously sooo good and really easy to make!

Oversized Gray Turtleneck

Even though it’s spring break, it’s actually still pretty chilly. The high for the temperatures this week will only be around 50 degrees! Not exactly spring break weather :(. One of my main fashion staples this winter has been this oversized gray turtleneck. It’s so comfortable and I wear it at least once a week to school. I like that you can throw it on and not have to worry too much about your top, because it’s so simple! I usually style it with a pair of blue jeans and my favorite adidas sneakers. Spring Break Begins! + My SB Bucket List

It’s been so long since my last post, and honestly I know I say this every time but I have been extremely busy. In the two to three weeks leading up to spring break, teachers have started new lessons and chapters and then to finish off our units, this week I had 7 tests! But I finally finished up my last little bit of work today and I have a week off for Spring Break! I’m not doing anything super exciting, and sadly, I’m not taking a big trip or going to the beach. But I still want to make the Spring Break count and do a lot of fun things. A few weeks ago I was bored in class so I made a Spring Break bucket list of some things I want to try out and do. DIY: How to Make Printed Whales

Hello everyone! This is my first how to/DIY post in a while- if at all- and I’m really excited to show you how to make some super cute printed whales! Back in eighth grade, my computer class was taught how to use a website called Pixlr, where you can edit and tweak photos and do some super cool things to them! I learned so many tricks to that website, and use it all the time! The other day, I was trying to figure out a design for our class t-shirts for my school. I had an idea in mind but wanted to see how it would look on the computer instead of a rough sketch. I played around on Pixlr until I finally created what I had in mind for the t-shirts, and then I started thinking. It would be super cute to take the Vineyard Vines whale logo and add fun prints to it! I’ve seen the printed whales everywhere but never knew how to create them. The Friday Five

It sure has been a while since my last Friday Five! This week has been really busy, I was surprised at how much homework I’ve had this week, plus some to do over the weekend! This week was filled with lots of soccer: my team had a few games and practices, and we made it to the playoffs! Hello everyone! It’s so crazy to think that we are almost halfway through the school year already! I’m definitely very excited about that. I know we still have a few months but I’m looking forward to summer already! This year I told myself I’m going to try and be more organized and productive. While I do want to focus on staying on top of my school work, I also want to find ways to relax and not get so stressed out! Fun Patterned Socks

 At the beginning of the school year, I had planned to try to dress nice almost every day. I had a bunch of outfits planned out and I organized my closet and got rid of stuff I no longer wear. I was going to try and make it the whole school year (or at least the first semester) wearing cute, nicer clothes. There are still some days that I wear those things, but I definitely haven’t been dressing up everyday like I had originally planned.  On my lazy days when I wear something more laid back, it’s always fun to brighten up the outfit with a pair of fun socks!
