Productive Things to do in Winter Break

12 / 30 / 1612 / 30 / 16

I know during winter break, there’s finally time to sleep as late as you want, lay in bed all day, and watch as much Netflix as you want, and that’s not bad! But the break is also a time that you can use to catch up on some chores, try new things, and get active. It can be really hard to be productive during break, especially after sitting around for so  long. This was me just a few days ago! I’ve been so lazy all break until I finally decided to start getting stuff done! I already feel so much better and more on top of everything. Today’s post includes tips for finding motivation and fun/productive things you can do during the last few days of freedom, enjoy!

My Christmas Wishlist

12 / 8 / 1612 / 8 / 16

Hello everyone and happy Thursday! I’m so happy that we are over halfway through the week. I only have 6 more school days until I’m out for two weeks of break! I absolutely cannot wait for Christmas and all the festivities that come with it. Since I’m so busy with school, I feel like I haven’t completely gotten into the Christmas spirit as much as I have in years past. I think after I get off of school and I’m not so stressed, I’ll definitely get more in the mood. For today’s post I’m collaborating with Faith from A Pocketful of Prep to bring you my Christmas Wishlist! I did one of these last year, so I’m continuing the tradition! I definitely am not expecting all of these things at all, but these are just a few things I would be so happy to receive! Check it out down below, then pop on over to Faith’s blog to see her wishlist!

Holiday Gift Guide: Jetsetter Edition

11 / 29 / 1611 / 29 / 16

Thanksgiving has officially passed, which means Christmas season is in full swing! I couldn’t be happier, Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year, it makes me so happy just thinking about all of the fun and joy that goes along with the holiday. We decorated our house for Christmas last Saturday, and looking at the tree every morning instantly brightens my mood. One of the main things I struggle with at Christmas is trying to figure out which friend/relative would want what gift. My siblings, I’m pretty good at finding them a gift they love, but other times, I have no idea what some people like! It’s always a struggle finding the perfect present for everyone, but today’s post is the first of many holiday gift guides! I hope to make many more in the weeks leading up to Christmas, but today’s theme is for the jetsetter, the person in your life who loves to travel! Enjoy!

My Favorite H&M Sweaters (all under $35!)

11 / 9 / 16

Since it’s starting to get cooler, we are entering sweater weather! In the colder months like December and January, I practically live in sweaters. It’s so easy to slip on on and pair it with jeans or leggings for a quick outfit. Last year while we were at the beach, I went to an H&M store for the first time, and I fell in love with everything in there. There isn’t one anywhere near where I live, so I had never seen any of their items before! I’ve recently been browsing their website and I’m obsessed with all their new fall sweaters! Today I’ve rounded up six of my favorites- and they’re all under $35!

The Friday Five

10 / 21 / 1610 / 21 / 16

This week thankfully hasn’t been too stressful! I only had one or two quizzes and not that much homework, which I’m so thankful for. I finally have a break from cross country, there’s no meet this weekend, so I  want to try and take advantage of the free weekend and do something fun! District is next weekend, and state is in two weeks, and I’m getting more nervous about it as every day passes! I’ve been trying to train hard and get ready for the next couple of weeks, they’re going to be really tough! I found some great links this week, read on for more details!

Fun Fall Nail Polish Colors

10 / 19 / 1610 / 18 / 16

Now that fall is officially here, it’s time to start transitioning your wardrobe and accessories to the darker, more neutral colors. The summer is all about bright and colorful patterns, but fall is more laid back, sophisticated colors in more neutral tones. Besides changing up your clothes for fall, you can also change up your nails! In the summer, my go to was always blues or corals for the brighter color. Now that it’s fall, there are so many cute options for new nail colors! Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite picks!

Go To Fall Outfit

10 / 18 / 1610 / 17 / 16

Today’s outfit is one of my favorites I’ve ever done! It’s one of my go-to fall outfits, if I can’t think of what to wear, I’ll usually gravitate towards something like this look. Just a simple sweater and jeans, accessorized with a few detailed pieces, and you’re good to go! This weekend, it was cooler than usual, so I finally got to break out my sweaters from last year. I usually go for grays and whites in sweaters because I know they’ll match with everything. I dressed up this outfit with some colorful statement earrings from The Tiny Tassel, and a beautiful sea glass necklace from Midori Jewelry. They compliment the outfit so well and add fun pops of color!

The Friday Five

10 / 14 / 1610 / 11 / 16

How has everyone’s week been? This past week, we had fall break, so we were only in school Tuesday-Friday. And, it’s homecoming week, so there has been spirit day every single day this week! The homecoming football game is tonight, and I’m planning on going- I’m really excited! This week was probably one of the best in a while. It’s been fun dressing up for spirit days: there’s been Hawaiian shirt day, Twin Day, Wizard of Oz character day, and Charger Pride Day. I haven’t had as much homework as I have in the past few weeks (that’s always a plus!). And I’ve also been training really hard for my cross country meet tomorrow, which I’m pumped about! This week I have some super fun links, read on to check them out!

Recipe: Frozen Hot Chocolate (Collab!)

10 / 12 / 1610 / 10 / 16

Even though it’s technically fall, here in Mississippi it doesn’t always feel like it. Sure, there are some days where it’s chilly and I end up grabbing a sweater, but other times it doesn’t feel much different from summer. I always love making a steaming mug of hot cocoa and warming up with it on a chilly day, but with this hotter weather, there’s no point! That’s why I’ve been loving frozen hot chocolate- you still get the delicious hot cocoa taste, but with the consistency of a milkshake! Today Valerie from Confetti and Tassels and I are sharing our favorite fall drinks, so be sure to check out her post after you’ve read mine! Over on her blog, she made a delicious pumpkin pie frappe, which sounds amazing! Now, on to the recipe:

Fall Adventuring with United Tees

10 / 10 / 1610 / 10 / 16

One reason I love the fall is because it’s the perfect weather. It’s not too hot that you get overheated and sweaty, but it’s not too cold that you freeze your toes off. There’s a nice breeze, the temperature is cool but not too chilly, and the sun is still shining up above. Fall is the best time for camping trips, hikes, and afternoon adventures. There’s a lake not too far from my house, and this past weekend my brothers and I walked down to it and explored a bit. I wore some nike shorts and one of my favorite new shirts from United Tees. Their fall collection just came out and their new line is the cutest!

Fading to Fall Neutrals

10 / 7 / 1610 / 6 / 16

Woah- fall is actually here, (where did the time go?) and while I’m definitely glad for the new season and holidays to kick off, it’s a little sad to think that summer has completely come to a close. And I don’t just mean no school or fun beach trips, but summer style is now evolving into the fall colors. In my last outfit post, I mentioned having to put away some of my summer stripes and moving to the fall wardrobe. Fall style to me consists of lighter, more neutral colors instead of the summer brights. Today I’m wearing a basic fall outfit that I dressed up with one of my favorite new necklaces– read on for details!
