Hello and happy Monday! It seemed like the weekend zoomed by. I had a cross country meet on Saturday and Sunday was filled with church, youth, and getting ready for the busy week ahead. My youth group played paintball last night and that was my first time to ever play. It was so much fun and we played in a few different obstacle courses so it was different each time! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite quotes that I’ve found recently as some Monday motivation. Although I’m definitely not a huge fan of Mondays, if you have a positive attitude about them, it can lead you into a very happy week!
Hello everyone! Who’s excited for the weekend? I definitely am, I don’t have any meets or games this weekend and I can relax and catch up on some other things I need to get done. This week seemed like it went by super fast since we got Labor Day off. If only every week could go by this quick! I’ve been doing a lot of training for cross country since the season has finally begun and we are getting into the routine of practices and meets and recovery. I actually had to take an ice bath the other day to help heal my shins, and it was SO COLD! As I said before, I’m so glad for the weekend, so let’s just get started with my favorite links!
This past month of August, I’ve been listening to lots of fun music throughout the week. I’ve started to see there’s always these same few songs that I listen to over and over again. Anytime I would listen to music, I would gravitate to this group of songs. These are fun, uplifting songs that brighten any day and get you pumped up for the task ahead! It’s so fun to play music while you’re in the shower, getting ready, or even while doing homework. For me, it makes the homework go faster and I’m more energized to get it done. Here is a compiled list of all the songs I’ve listened to this August, hope you enjoy!
What songs have you been loving recently? xoxo
Hello everyone! Today’s post is about one of my new finds: lemon water. Of course I’ve heard of it before, but I never really drank it until just recently. I really want to make a habit of drinking it every morning to start my day. I’ve heard that it’s really beneficial and has so many rejuvenating qualities! One of my main things I want to start doing is having a cup of lemon water by my bed or in my bathroom. That way, when I wake up in the morning, I can go ahead and start my day with a fresh cup of it! I also have found some fun ways to drink it throughout the day, even when I’m at school and am not at the place I can go cut up a lemon ;). Keep reading for more tips!
Wow, it sure has been awhile since my last Friday Five! Towards the end of spring I was busy with exam prep and lots of studying, over the summer I didn’t have my computer so posts didn’t go up as regularly, and my first two weeks of school have been so hectic and busy! Excuses aside, I’m here with a long awaited Friday Fives post for the first time in forever. This week has been another crazy week. Going back into school, I was expecting to start off slow and not be too busy. I was so wrong! I had three tests and two quizzes and homework every night- and that was just for the first week! Now that I’ve sort of developed a routine and a feel for how things are going to go this year, I’ve been able to settle down and start blogging again. Without further ado, read on for my Friday Fives!
I always bring my lunch to school, but there are some mornings I have absolutely no idea what to bring and I’m rushing so I end up throwing some random, unhealthy things into my lunchbox. This year I want to go ahead and have a bunch of options in mind so that I can already have an idea of what I can take for lunch each day! I’m going to try to be healthier this year and not turn to the junk food options when I’m hungry. This post is about healthy lunch options for back to school!

I definitely recommend choosing a day this summer to plan a picnic. Here are some picnicking essentials you should remember to bring with you!

Hello everyone! I’m so sorry that I haven’t been posting as much anymore, since I’m out for summer vacation I haven’t been able to sit down and write! Recently, I’ve been really loving avocados and I’ve been coming up with some great recipes incorporating them. Avocados are really healthy for you and they provide so many health benefits for you body and skin. A few of my favorite ways to use them: crush into guacamole with multigrain chips, slice like apple slices and eat plain, or put it on toast! Today’s post is about a really easy and delicious way to make avocado toast!
It’s getting closer and closer to summer, with only about one more month before it’s time to break the swimsuits out and put the sweatpants away. It’s already starting to get in the 80s where I live, and it’s only going to get hotter! I’ve already been wearing tanks and shorts. I can’t wait for summer! Today’s post is about a few tips to get ready for summer! Some of these take work, but if you can stay motivated and not quit, you can reach your goal and have the body you want for the summer season!

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a happy hump day. We’re halfway through the school week! Yesterday I decided to make some cupcakes for my friend’s birthday. But I didn’t want to make a whole batch of 24 cupcakes, just one or two of them. So I tried out this recipe for single serving cupcakes. I had planned to follow the recipe and make two regular sized cupcakes, but something came up. I couldn’t use the regular muffin pan like I had planned. I should have checked before I made up the batter, but I already had everything ready to cook. So instead I found our mini muffin pan and decided to use that. And they actually turned out great! The batter makes about 5 or 6 mini cupcakes, and they turned out great!
Hello everyone! Today is a boring day filled with school, tests, and lots of homework. But there are only 28 more days left of school, so that’s definitely a plus. Something that has been a really fun topic for me lately is snail mail. I think it’s so neat to be pen pals with someone and get to know them the old fashioned way. It seems like everyone only calls, emails, or texts these days, and letters are forgotten. But there are so many cute stationary options out there and so many cute things you could do to make your letters beautiful! And just think about how great it would be to open your mailbox and find a bright, colorful letter waiting for you. Read on to discover more about being a pen pal.
Hello everyone! It sure has been a while since my last Friday Five, and I’m so sorry about that! This week has actually been a pretty good week! I changed my alarm so I could sleep later, and I’m not as tired anymore! I didn’t have a crazy amount of tests, so my homework wasn’t a huge overload. And I’m just looking ahead to summer and counting down the days! There are only 31 actual school days left of the semester! How great is that! We only have about 5 weeks of school left and I couldn’t be more excited! Down below I have some of my favorite things that I saw or that happened throughout the week- read on!
